We need design advice for a rebuild of our core product. To find that kind of advice (and advisors), we’re commissioning work to get a feel for the design ethos of folks from various communities.

In working to make our flagship product into the best app in our industry, we realise that we are PEO experts, not designers. We don’t really know what ‘best’ should look like. Show us by creating a landing page (actually better called a client portal) that our client can use to quickly find info and take common actions. Our plan for the new product design has four watchwords: Sleek, efficient, focused, and fast.

    This was a difficult decision for the panel. The quality of designs exceeded all expectations. We are very likely to post new contests and projects on freelancer, and a number of you should expect invitations.

    • Clean, streamlined look
    • Uncluttered visuals, muted & elegant colours.
    • Well-executed continuous scroll. Users can most things from one screen
    • Attractive "services" section caters to browsing behaviours that a top-nav does not
    • Innovative, functional carousel-based Progress feature
    • Carousel-based "Employees" section
    • Design & designer showed close attention to the purpose of the brief, not just the text of it

    We are actively reviewing all of the entries. None have been ruled out, but those that currently have less than four stars are unlikely to be selected. Please note that the quality of entries for this contest was MUCH higher than we'd expected, and you've made the decision quite difficult. We will likely post additional contests and projects, and quite a few non-winners should expect invitations to participate when we do so.

    u are looking for a landing page or dashboard! next time if u don't know what is the difference between them add a reference to make the brief of your contest understandable So that you don't make anyone expect what you want, If he expected what you wanted wrong, then he will be the problem.

    Try to ask a consultant first before posting any contest

    Hi, about entry #58 th, there are two sections that he copied exactly from my design. I respect the time put into it but it's not a good example to copy other designers and take the credit.. The employee details section and common action are copied from my design. The hardest part is extracting the content from the brief and visualizing the data on the page but you just looked at the other entries and came up with this. Again, I'm not here to offend anyone, and appreciate you've done the job.

      We will review and take those concerns into consideration when deciding a winner. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Several entries used either elements or design cues from other, earlier entries, not just yours. We expected that when we posted the contest.

    From what I'm reading this is basically a client portal. You don't want a landing page, you want a dashboard. A landing page is a marketing term. Its a page you send leads in your marketing funnel to.
