WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO ACHIEVE:

I would like to create illustrations of various scenes in my books. Starting book one, chapter 1.
That is how I will split the contests in the future too. (chapter 2 etc.)

I need around 20 illustrations per chapter (at least in book one, which is shorter) and 40 - 60 in action packed chapters (one in book one).

There are 4 books total with 7 chapters on average - thus lot of work to be done.

I'm not a rich guy, nor I'm making any money on this little hobby of mine. So I can't afford to pay more than
£20 per illustration with a total budget of £400 (per chapter / month). Longer chapters needing more than 20 illustrations will be split into parts i.e. 60 illustrations needed over 3 months then. 20/month as budget allows.

The books are action packed and gory, as well as some on purpose inflammatory material, thus, the artist needs to be OK with that.

I do understand that some illustrations will need more detail than others / have much higher difficulty, but then I would suggest for you to start with the easier ones first, and work on the harder ones later as a bonus only before the month ends and the contest is over.

This of course means, my prize is not £20 but £400 total, awarding more than one winner.
I will award prize (winner) to every illustration that I can use in my YT videos to support the story being told (narrated audiobook - see the example file), thus, If you have created Illustration of a scene that no-one else did (to satisfactory quality), I will award you the prize for sure, since I can use it. That also mean you're not competing that hard against others, as long as you choose scene that no-one else is doing yet.

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU:

Quality work , to start with. Keeping the appearance of already existing characters. The red undertone of the art.
Please choose scene that no-one else is working on yet to avoid disappointment and guarantee a prize if you work to a certain quality level (please check supporting file to see what quality I expect)

Each chapter is split into sections (tribute to a song). Each tribute section needs opening scene, closing scene, and one in the middle as a must.

For this specific project I need: (7 songs total - meaning - 21 illustrations total - initial, middle and final scene)
however, I do have some illustration already present, thus, minus 6 of the ones existing = 15, but I still want 20 more illustrations total anyway. One of those has to be for the intro part - look up details.

Independence: It's a massive project. Chose a scene on your own, don't wait to be told. Check whether someone else is already working on it. Think - opening, closing and middle scenes for each song. If it fits, no-one else is working on it already, and I will like the quality (16:9 ratio with enough details and clarity to be able to zoom in on details - 4K resolution) , you're guaranteed to win a prize.

Finally, I will require the artist to become familiar with each chapter before conducting any work, as I believe that is the only way to "capture" the essence of each scene and to avoid unnecessary corrections.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME:

I will guide you on your work in progress during the process, so that you don't have to do many corrections and you will get the prize.

As my drawing skills are none existent, I will resort to 3rd party similar content for guidance and verbal description. It is in my interest to make it work, since I do want those illustrations. If I think that you don't have the skills necessary, I will tell you as soon as I realize that, to not waste your or my time trying to make it work.

My only concern is for the final quality of the work. Because it is either good enough, or useless to me.

hello, I have read chapter 1, and watched the video you have attached, do you want any of the images in the video to be redrawn or only the scenes that are not shown in the video?

When we submit an entry... There is an option stating "How much would you want to sell this for" which is a precautionary addition in case the contest holder decides to not award you the prize but could want to buy the entry off the contestant.

So such I think what you have plans for: CAN work.
You will be awarding one person and then buying off illustrations from the others.
I hope this would answer your question and set your doubts to ease.

I would like to support you best I could as when ever I have time available. This does not mean that you will pick what I draw.. But shall there be any months with very few entries (or argue-ably good ones) per title: I will try to see what I can do.
I hope others will join in and you will get what you had hoped fro from here.

  But since there is a difference in material where yours is for the "graphic nature" to be conveyed... It may be a tour de force in contrast :/

why not scale the the quantity of work, to increase the prize and quality. 20 pounds per drawing isnt much dude

  As said in the description, budget. This is but a hobby and I'm not a rich guy. If this can have any chance to get done at all, £20 is what I can afford at the moment with total £400 max spend per month.
  
  You're not being forced to take part Max. £20 is a lot of money to a lot of people out there.
  The only question is, is it going to be worth it to me?
  
  That being said, excellent work on difficult scenes will be worth more to me (mainly action and gory scenes later on) and I'm happy to tip people who did a great job - similar to the example provided (the complex ones). Even if it will take away from next month's budget.
