I need an experienced logo designer to provide a logo for my business, Firstportage Publishing.The name Firstportage is written as one word, and the business name Firstportage Publishing should be shown both below and to the right of the minimalist image. (Thus four different arrangements of image and type.) As Baskerville font is used for book interior, the logo font could range between that and something more modern, at the designer's discretion.
The word "firstportage" refers to the first place in a river (going upstream) where exposed rocks and fast water require small boats to be taken from the river and carried (portaged) around the rapids to be put back in the river. The minimalist image or water flowing over a rock in the attached photo of a river port industrial park is a good example of what I have in mind, though of course the image should not be copied directly.
