We are an end to end proptech (real estate/property + technology) Indonesian company that has a mission to provide ownership to affordable housing for the lower income family in Indonesia.
For illustration of living fees here:
Low income family -> monthly salary < 8 million rupiahs (542 US$)
House price -> 168 million rupiahs (11,500 US$), with estimate monthly mortgage of 68 US$
Price of one lunch meal -> 25000 rupiah (1.5 US$)
We want to design a logo that 1. stands out from competition, 2. match with our mission and values as a company.
1. Stand out from competition
Our current competitors are usually not an end to end solution, e.g. the real estate developer can hire multiple sales agency, hence they dont usually care about their branding too much.
Since the target customers are usually less educated, there are plenty of fraud/scams that promises the customer new houses, but eventually fail to deliver within timeline or promised quality. There is a huge trust issue within the affordable housing market.
Our competitor are usually conventional real estate company that barely use any technology to scale their system, e.g. digital marketing, project tracking, automated payment, etc.
We want to convey the sense of reliability, trust, best quality, and ability to be the top affordable housing provider. And our company is founded by technologist in the field of software engineering, AI, and top financial firm expert. We understand our profile is very unique for this segment, hence we are looking for a design that can convey our professionalism yet we still understand their needs.
2. Mission and value
We want to deliver the best quality affordable housing, top of the market share, trusted quality, and reliable delivery. We focus on empowering the lower income segment for their rights for humane housing.
Our company name: Zoglo, is a twist from two words: Zorro and Joglo. Zorro is a folklore hero that is well known to defend the commoners and the indigenous people, and joglo is a traditional house design in Java, where majority of our customers live. We attached the illustration of zorro and joglo here, but please look up online as well. Keep in mind, indonesian are majority moslem,they are familiar with joglo, but not so much of zorro.
