  Can I ask exactly what you mean by "telling a story to other people"? As in someone could just pick up the story and read it out loud and it would sound like it is in their own words? Or is it to be used for a podcast or YouTube video? The way the story would need to be rewritten would alter depending on the context. Please provide more detail.

     Write it like you were telling someone a story about what happened to someone you knew. Write it how you would speak it.

     A larger prize will result in multiple poorly written stories as history has proven. If someone is willing to provide a great rewrite then I will just go directly to that person without holding a competition.
