Write a short story with next requeriments:
- should follow guidelines of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_story
- max extension 3000 words. It must be something that you can narrate out loud from start to end without boring or tiring your listeners
- the story must be related to the fall of the Knights Templar, the last words of the last Grand Master Order, and the deaths of the Pope and France King shortly after.
- the Knights Templar is a really know and popular topic. So there many info about them, theories, conspiracies, myths, and so on.

- must be a mix of suspense, folktale, legend and mythology genres
- it must sounds possible, even if it contains fantasy, science fiction, paranormal, etc. Like a myth or legend where the decision of true/false is let to the reader's imagination.
- H. P. Lovecraft short stories are a good reference of the type of story to write.
Also, some creepypasta stories could be also used as reference

- readers target: any person 17 years and older that understand english language
- must be narrable out loud
- no sexual content
- no abusive, obscene nor bad language
- no abbreviations
- no too specific country's words
- no grammatical, spelling, syntactic or semantic errors
- content related to love or romance should be minimal or zero

WARNING: entries with spam, copypaste from anywhere or not an original new story will be directly rejected and reported.

NOTICE: we will own the copyright of the winner story. The author's name will be included anywhere we'll use it.

After the contest' deadline, winner will be selected by originality and quality.

The content guidelines suggests having a maximum of 3,000 words, this implies anything within 1 - 2,999 words limit word count is acceptable. The word count for my work, entry number eight is within the accepted word count. In fact, my work contains just 2,500 words. So, it's not beyond the acceptable word count. I like you to reconsider entry eight and review my entry. I spent days on it

Please, read and follow the guidelines. Not following them could end on your rejection and to be reported to Freelancer administration.
All of ours past contests have too many spam entries or ones that aren't short stories. We are trying to prevent it here. You are warned.
Please remind that winner will be selected AFTER the contest' deadline. Even when some entries could be reviewed or declined before.
Depending on the amount of entries that are really a short story, the decision of the winner could be delay up to one month after the contest' deadline.
