Event staffing is the process of hiring people specifically for events. These employees may be needed to prepare a venue in terms of setting-up and decoration, or they may be needed for jobs during the event, such as catering, manning the bar or doors, or cleaning.
A hiring manager for events will need to choose staff who are already proficient in the jobs required, often through an agency. Businesses or companies that are hosting large-scale events will often benefit from hiring some external event staff as the work required may be beyond the work power of their permanent employees.
