Hello, I’d like to remove a load bearing post and open up my kitchen and living room. The length of the beam we would need is roughly 24 feet. We’re also expanding the home (wall where the sliding door is), adding an additional 6 feet. This is already included in the 24 foot measurement. We built a new roof over the home and carport and the county needs a letter from a licensed structural engineer approving what we have built because we replaced the aluminum roof with a wood frame roof and shingles and the previous owner did not get a permit to build over the carport.

I need structural engineering plans for retaining walls being built on the property. I have multiple retaining walls that are being built on the property and would like them engineered to withstand the hillside so that they do not fail prematurely and so that I can get a permit from the city of Orinda, CA. The height of the retaining wall on the street side with a fence on top is roughly 4.5 -5 feet tall. The height of the retaining wall in the drive way is roughly 5 feet tall. In the back yard, there are two additional retaining walls that are roughly 4.5 and 6 feet tall respectively.
