Hello, I’d like to remove a load bearing post and open up my kitchen and living room. The length of the beam we would need is roughly 24 feet. We’re also expanding the home (wall where the sliding door is), adding an additional 6 feet. This is already included in the 24 foot measurement. I have multiple retaining walls that are being built on the property and would like them engineered to withstand the hillside so that they do not fail prematurely and so that I can get a permit from the city of Orinda, CA.
