We are a family owned a wood, pulp and paper trading company, located in Hamburg, Germany. Until 2015 the parent company and its subsidiary were operating under the same name and logo ("GUSCO"). For the future we are planing to separate the business of both entities, leaving the trading to the subsidiary and restructuring the parent company as a classical holding company with no own business. For this reason we need an entirely new logo FOR OUR PARENT COMPANY (not GUSCO). It can be just a small variation of the current GUSCO-logo, or something entirely new. As a name, we have decided to call the parent company: "Schuerfeld-Group", in german respectively:" Schürfeld Gruppe" which is our family's last name. You can play with this name, if you want, since it is not official yet. (f.i. schuerfeldgroup or schuerfeldGROUP etc.). I have attached our GUSCO logo. Elegant style, not too playful. Rather abstract. Also some coherence to the old logo, which we have been using for almost 80 years appears attractive to me (but it is not a must). PPPS: For the last 3 days, i want to make some further guidance. We are looking for something individual and unique that the family can relate to. At the same time it needs to be professional so that the company can relate to it too. For this reason I liked entries that had something to do with our history or our core business: a tree, paper rolls, a paper boat, or a paper plane for example.
