Are you passionate about the property management industry? We are a growing virtual accounting firm that specializes in providing accounting services to property and association management firms using Appfolio and QuickBooks Online. We are looking for a strong bookkeeper or accountant with extensive Appfolio and Property Management Accounting experience. Tasks will include monthly bookkeeping for clients in Appfolio and QBO, responding to client emails and inquiries on how to record transactions or correct issues in Appfolio. The ideal candidate will show great work ethic and take pride in their work.
Responsibilities
Manage client relationship
Monthly Appfolio bank reconciliations (trust accounts, operating accounts, security deposit accounts)
Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations in QBO
Entering credit card transactions in Appfolio
Payroll processing through Gusto or Intuit
Keeping track of balance sheet and subledgers in Appfolio
Solve Appfolio accounting issues and train clients when needed
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Month-end close & adjusting entries
Bookkeeping Appfolio clean-up projects
Advise clients on process improvements and using systems efficiently
Work independently
Assist in streamlining our internal processes and updating the client Jobs in Jetpack Workflow
Skills
Minimum 3 years of Appfolio and QuickBooks Online experience is a must
Work experience as an Accountant and Bookkeeper
Some knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Hands-on experience with accounting software for property managers
QuickBooks Online certification
Advanced MS Excel skills
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree is a plus
Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
