App Raptors is a fast-paced, entrepreneurially focused design/development agency that has been around since the beginning of the App Store. We provide MVP's to our entrepreneur clients, helping them build out their dream business and start building up a customer base and product traction.
As an App Raptors designer, your job has two main parts as you work on the UX and UI of our clients’ apps.
You will work with clients to architect out the flow of their software and implement features in low-to-medium fidelity wireframes. This involves rapid prototyping and responding to user and client feedback. At App Raptors, we believe that this is the single most important phase of app development. Making stellar wireframes is the first step to making a killer app.
After the UX flow is done, your second job is to help clients develop their brand, aesthetic, and sometimes entire product, setting up their projects for success. You work with the client to nail down the app or website’s brand, color scheme, typeface, icons, photo assets, etc. Based on that foundation, you quickly and iteratively incorporate the client’s feedback. You can effectively communicate your design decisions and reasoning in meetings and through project documentation.
You will cooperate with and communicate with executives, developers and/or other designers, and thoroughly explain your designs in an effective manner. You are self driven, and can autonomously manage your project and relationship with the client with little supervision. Communication is key. Because of the iterative nature of this job, you will need to respond to clients during the same business day in which they reach out to you. Lapses or frequent delays in communication are completely unacceptable.
Outline product details with client in video or face to face meetings.
Work with the client to make the user experience wireframes, and then create a polished, finished product.
Create several iterations of brand documents and style guides, to help the client choose one that best fits their demographic.
Using brand/style decisions and wireframes, create polished designs of the finished product.
Work hand in hand with developers to ensure final products are exactly as designed.
Update client twice a week, and iterate designs based on their feedback (when applicable).
Send weekly reports to the client every week, using App Raptors templates.
