I need to have a SciLab code to be converted into MATLAB code. The code is a numerical solution of the 1D wave equation (in cylindrical coordinates) with a source term. The solution is based on Runge-Kutta 4th order for time derivatives and finite difference for spatial derivatives. In addition there is a numerical diffusion added to a portion of the domain near the boundary to prevent reflected waves. The whole program has about 150 lines of code plus comments. Matrix operations in the new code should be commented clearly. The present code has clear line by line comments. The equation picture is attached. The result of the project should demonstrate comparison of the new and old codes to prove accurate conversion.
