We have a mobile Barcode scanner that runs android operating system.
We need an application that allows the following:
1. Upload a CSV or Excel file that contains asset data
2. Login to the Scanner App
3. Scan Barcodes -
1.1 Scan Building Code
1.2 Scan Room Code
1.3 Scan all items in room (25 Fields for descriptions and Metadata)
When a user has the asset register loaded on his handheld scanner and is logged in, he will go along and go to a location to scan.
He will scan the building - Everything scanned after that will register as in that building
Then he will scan a room code - Every asset scanned after that will be listed as in that room
Each items scanned, will match the barcode with the same in the Asset Register uploaded on the scanner.
If the barcode exists, it will auto-populate all the fields. User can then make edits and take photos to upload.
If barcode does not exist, then can select "Add New Item" and then assign a barcode that will be scanned and all meta data and fields will be added.
Some will be fields we can select from drop down list and some will be manually enter field or scan from a code book to populate that field.
Basic Comparative Reports as output files.
Register the user name on the scanner
Clear the data on the App
Upload Asset Excel or CSV
Output CSV or Txt File or Excel
Should not take more than 40 to 80 hours for a good developer to complete
