Hello. I’m developing content to teach people about money, taxes, etc. Since some (let’s be honest, most) of the material is dense, I’d like to develop short clips of examples through graphics and animated videos.
An example: explaining how the marginal tax system is like filling up buckets of water. Since the marginal tax system has different percentages & income thresholds, I imagine buckets lined up by size, the percentage and income range determining the size & listed on the buckets. I’d like to create a fictitious character holding a water pitcher that represents her total taxable income. She will fill each bucket from smallest to largest, until the pitcher is empty. I’d then explain how the effective tax rate results in the percentage you actually pay: a sum of all the full buckets divided by taxable income. The purpose is to explain how your tax bracket isn’t what percentage you actually pay in taxes.
As you can see, very different to explain without visual aides. Hence this job request!
I have developed three workshops, two of which I am looking for graphics. I will provide the audio file of my explanation when the time comes. I am willing to share some ideas for each clip, but also open to relinquishing creative control to you!
I’m still in the process of finalizing the scripts on a couple segments, but it would be great to get started on some of the clips now.
