Hi there,
I need Arduino code that reads NMEA sentences via UART and writes them to a struct. I can't get any further.
Check out sketch.ino.
Actual behavior:
It works when all values of the NMEA sentence are transmitted:
$BLAST,0,0,0,0,0,0,String1,0,0,String2
If one value is not submitted:
$BLAST,0,0,0,0,0,0,String1,,0,String2
the program crashes and the Arduino (ESP32) restarts.
expected behavior:
If a value in the NMEA sentence is empty,
the code sets the corresponding value in the struck to NULL.
I write the NMEA sentences via USB Serial Monitor. You don't need any additional hardware to develop.
Only the function: read_BLAST_InputSentence needs to improve.
