Initial Private Alpha version required for testing with the following specs.
Game to be developed in Unity 5.5 or above.
Imagine the game as spectator of a demolition derby, with the cars fully controlled by computer. User should be able to control a floating camera, to move around playfield and observer destruction derby action which is taking place.
Interaction between cars should be visually interesting: Full physics system, damage states, effects (smoke, sparks, pieces from car, particles), etc.
Windows, include installer.
Unity 3D engine, utilizing assets from unity asset store where possible.
Scripting in C#
Prototype Game Scope:
Mostly flat dirt playfield (some bumps).
Single car design.
Floating 3D camera controlled via mouse/keyboard to view action.
All cars are AI controlled (target a car and back into it, avoid incoming car, etc.)
Additional cars can be added to playfield, at keyboard command (F1).
Fully destructible cars, with damage animations and physics.
Minimal UI required, most everything will be handled through keyboard shortcuts.
At start of game there will be an empty playfield.
Add a car:
User will hit a key, which will drop car at a random spot on the playfield. Hitting the key again will drop another car on playfield at random spot, but at an equal distance from all other cars on playfield. There should be no maximum number of cars which can be added (in future there will be, but want to see what practical maximum will be through testing prototype)
Start the derby:
There should be a key when hit, stars the derby (F10). All cars will now engage in trying to disable all other cars via impact, or avoid other cars which are heading toward them.
Game over condition:
When a car is sufficiently damaged, it will no longer be able to move, and is out of the game. The last car on the playfield able to move is the winner of the game.
Functional prototype which runs on Windows, installed via an installer.
All art assets, scripts, and code created during the project.
VERY IMPORTANT :
As much as possible, utilize existing art and code assets from Unity Asset Store:
