The project is to develop a code for the DS1337 clock and drive 12 individually addressable LEDs to show the time. LED driver is the TLC59711 IC.
LEDs are arranged in a circle, like the numbers are on an analog clock.
Displayed should be hour, minutes and seconds.
There are limitations on what can be displayed, so PWM should be used to help convey some meaningful information.
For example - the minute LED should blink once a second to represent both minute mark and seconds mark.
The hour LED should have 60-80% brightness, while the minute LED should have 40-60% brightness.
Mode button should be implemented to cycle through modes. First mode to be clock display and second being sleep.
Additional modes are MAG3110 magnetometer and temperature display (from NTC).
The microcontroller is ATmega328p with Arduino Pro mini bootloader. The design has UART connection to Arduino IDE, which should serve to adjust the real time clock.
