I have a joystick connecting to a Windows PC by USB and I have the full code that reads the input from the joysytick.

The program displays the comamnds from the joystick in a GUI on the screen.

The joystick is plug and play and the HID (Human Interface Device) class is used.

The code has a C# part and a C++ part. It is buildable in VisuaStudio and works fine.

Or to be more precise, it worED fine until very recently. Now, it shows the GUI, however the commands inputted by the device are not displayed anymore.

I suspect this has something to do with a possible recent upgrade of Windows or .NET

I am not in touch with the original developer, so what I need is to check what changes have been made in Windows so that code doesn't work now, and to adjust the existing source code accordingly, to work with the current version.

Basically, no need for much development, only check the changes in Windows and bring fine tuning edit to the code.

I will provide the executable file and the available source code.

You can check if you can do it beforehand, but once project is accepted you must provide the deliverable.

Needed knowledge: driver programming, .NET, C, C#

Notes:

- You MUST have plenty previous experience with this kind of tasks, so that project runs smoothly.

- Automatic bids will not be considered.

Deliverable:

The source code tuned so that it can be compiled into the same correct executable, in Visual Studio.
