Yesterday, i implemented a search box in my bootstrap 4.5 navbar, between the logo and the collapsable menu. The intention is that the search box should always fill all the room between the logo and the menu or hamburger menu and that the menu row (including search and logo) should always only be one, vertically centered row.
I got it mostly to work for all different language versions (see [login to view URL]), but some problems remain:
(a) the layout does not work on all platforms that bootstrap 4.5 claims to support. Especially even the newest version of ie looks bad (several rows instead of one). see [login to view URL]
(b) articles (i.e. [login to view URL]) have two logos in the upper left corner. The layout needs therfor to be changed (Input box made shorter) for such pages so that the menubar is displayed in one row on mobile phones (doesnt work yet on my iPhone).
The website consists of some 18000 pages for each of the 12 supported languages, that are generated by a perl scrip tfrom me. You will only need to correct [login to view URL] (and [login to view URL] for the problem (b), i will then adapt your changes to my template that isused to generate all pages. i will send you a 6gb file with all pages and infos needed, no need to connect to the webserver.
If you are interested, please send me your contact details (moile phone for communication cia telegram or whatsapp, email), to make sure that we can communicate (especially chat seems unreliable at the moment). My contact details can be found on my homepage.
All the best
