We have a map of the city of Bordeaux, France, in a PDF format (see the attached file - [login to view URL]). We wish you to translate it into a polygonal Shapefile using a GIS software. At the end, we want a polygon-geometry for each of the 130 territories ("polling stations") drawn on this map. Each territory is named by a letter in red: A, B, C… A polling station can have blue and/or red frontiers. These territories are clustered into 35 sectors. Sectors have blue frontiers only. The name of the sectors appears in blue. For exampe, the extreme left sector is labelled "Stéhélin". This sector is composed of 6 polling station (the letter ranges from A to F).
On the small illustration attached ([login to view URL]), a red circle surrounds a polling station and a bleu one surrounds a sector.
The attribute table must contain 130 rows with two columns. The first column contains the name of the sector and has to be called ‘sector_name’, the second column contains the letter of the polling station and has to be called ‘polling_station_letter’.
