Job Description:
Objectives:

1.- Find or develop a fabrication method for high temperature solenoids (500-850 K) using Aluminum Carbide instead of Copper for current conduction
and Aluminum Oxide as electrical insulation. Write a technical report.
2. - Conceptually design an automatic, or semi-automatic, manufacturing process using machinery or robots not necessarily commercially available. Write a technical report.
3. - Find or develop a fabrication method for high temperature stators to used with the high temperature solenoids. Write a technical report.
4. - Conceptually design an automatic, or semi-automatic, manufacturing process using machinery or robots not necessarily commercially available. Write a technical report.
5. - Perform a basic cost analysis and develop a basic budget. Write a basic report.
6. - Write a final professional report documenting the all findings and include a 6 month timeline project management plan.
Milestones and deliverable:

ALL reports and documentation should be presented in a highly professional manner.
Others

Basic plots and information regarding the use of this solenoids and stators will be provided. The use of hybrid manufacturing (conventional and additive manufacturing) is
encourage.
These solenoids will be part of a linear induction pump. We are only interested in the solenoids and stator production.
The reports will be part of a project proposal.
