USB charging and communication device with mobile phone

Job Description:
we have a project to build a device which is connected to vehicle battery and its CAN line. this device has a USB female port which would be connected to a mobile using a normal mobile charger cable. The motive would be to charge the mobile phone and communicate with the device on usb. we have already built a unit but we are not able to both charging and communicating at the same time. charging happens when a normal mobile charging cable is used. communication happens only when an external small otg adapter is used along with the charging cable. we want a fast charging device that would also communicate with the phone only with the mobile charging cable.
