Thermocouple Temperature Module

We are looking for schematic and pcb layout design of Thermocouple (T/C) Temperature Module for our Industrial PDA product. The project includes component selection (A-D converter, Cold Junction Compensator, signal conditioning and ESD protection devices etc), schematic/pcb layout design (including sch and pcb symbols / footprints). We will provide the input for mechanical side of the project (board outline, pcb panel drawing, connector types/positions).

The tasks and deliverables as follow:

1/ Investigate and recommend the most suitable A-D Converter and Thermocouple Cold Junction Compensator for this project, considering price/lead time/manufacturability (Note: all components used in this project should be SMT).

2/ Create schematic design document (including schematic symbols and pcb footprints library) using Altium 10 schematic capture tool. Prepare BOM with part description, package information, manufacturer and manufacturer part number).

3/ Design pcb layout using Altium 10 pcb design tool. The best engineering practices should be applied in pcb layout design in regard to EMC, Signal Immunity, signal integrity and measurement accuracy).

4/ PCB panelisation based on panel drawing supplied.

5/ Generate manufacturing package (gerber files, FAB notes, pick and place file, assembly drawing).

Experience with 24-bit ADC devices, thermocouples and Altium Designer 10 electronic design suite is required.

The progress to the next task needs to be approved by Aceeca.

Work/progress reporting to be agreed with Aceeca.

The payment for the project will be for completed stages.

Sampling resolution: 24-bit

Channel Sampling: ²⁾ Sequential

Sampling rate (per input channel): ≥ 1 kHz

Input/Thermocouple Types: K, E, J, T

Operating temp range (module): -10°C to +60°C

Interface to the PDA: SPI or I2C
