Job Description:
We would like our project to be written in Visual Basic that can be run as a macro in Excel as opposed to a separate Executable program that needs to be run outside of Excel.
We have an excel workbook with two worksheets. Sheet 1 is Call List and sheet 2 is our database. We need to populate the Call List sheet (sheet1) with the data from our database (sheet2).If the PostedByName column and Company column in both sheets have matching data, then import columns A, B, C, D from Database (Sheet2) into Call List (Sheet1).
CALL LIST (Sheet1)formatting instructions for worksheet1 (Call List): 1) Insert a blank column for A, B, C, D, and E
2) title the new columns "Direct", "HQ", "Mobile", "Email", and "Notes"
3) add filters for all columns (data>filter)
4) delete rows that have "Staffing & Recruiting" in the industry column (column L)
5) delete rows that are blank in the PostedByName column (column F)
6) remove duplicate rows based on: Postedbyname, Jobtitle, Company, and Location. (if all four are the same, delete it).
7) if PostedByName (column F) has duplicate entries, label the duplicate rows (excluding the first entry) as "duplicate entry" in notes (column E)
8) insert PostedByURL (column O) to the immediate right of PostedByName (It will now be in column G)
9) make PostedByURL hyperlinks active
10) add colors and formatting to make the spreadsheet easily readable (look at our example, but it does not have to match exactly).
11) rename sheet1 to "Call List" and sheet2 to "Database"
DATABASE (Sheet2)We also want to remove duplicate rows from Database (sheet2) based on the PostedByName and Company columns
