Hello,
We are a small indie video game studio and are looking for a writer to write a very emotional script for a Video Game. Here is a short Prompt:
Intro Scene
(Flashes of the funeral scene) Young woman wakes up on an ocean landscape. Looks out and it starts to break away. Leaving her on a digital recreation glowing wireframe (Tron, vaporwave) of what she originally saw. "Hello daughter" you hear from omniscience.
Plot:
Exposition/ Introduction
Character wakes up inside her father's old 80s style computer. The father is a hobbiest inventor and tells her that she put on a piece of his hardware which transported her consciousness into the computer. This corrupted many files and he can't access them from the outside. The *corruption* is what she must fix if she is to free her consciousness.

What we are looking for in this sample piece is something that fits into the larger storyline of an estranged father and daughter reconnecting. At this point the audience (player) only knows the information provided above. We are focusing on something that quickly creates that buy in from the player. A good hook with well thought out dialogue/storyboarding is more important in this project than flowery prose. Upon deciding if your script is the best fit for the overall project we will complete an NDA and give you full access to the team and project to work on the rest of the script.
