Looking to design a template repeatable website for masonic lodges. The site should be easy to read and navigate and look appealing for users up to 70 yrs old. It should basically be a slightly more elaborate renovation of: [login to view URL]
The Freemasons operate as a franchise of local social groups, similar to the Rotary Club. Many of them have either no websites or sites that vary a lot in appearance and quality. The HQ has contracted me to create a refreshed, reusable template for their lodges. The template will be used to allow non-technical and often older lodge admins to create and maintain a beautiful website that suits their very specific needs and style.
Site admins will be able to log in to WordPress and edit the content of their website using Elementor and without having to learn the intricacies of the WordPress editor and admin pages. Most admins will even be limited to editing content only (without full Elementor edit access).
Visitors will experience a mobile-responsive, well designed website with clear legibility and easy, inviting navigation to the content detailed in the spec sheet.
The site should be built entirely using the GeneratePress theme and the Elementor page builder. The content should ideally be divided into 2 to 5 pages max and make good use of the provided imagery. For some sections such as the Google Events Calendar, the Social Media Feed and the Trestleboards (PDF newsletters), the use of plugins or collaboration with my back-end developers are totally acceptable. A top priority of the project to maintain simple website administration for site owners. Another top priority is to create a template that can be easily adapted to fit more or less content, different images, etc... without looking like a boring theme demo. It is crucial that the design and imagery be very specific to Freemasonry.
Looking to hire for repeat work. The motivation in searching for a contractor for this task reaches far beyond this project. I operate a boutique agency and we need a new front-end WordPress designer with an autonomous "can do" attitude. We want to be able to often skip the slow and increasingly redundant phase of static graphic design comps by hiring someone with a strong sense of aesthetics and enough confidence to build comps directly in Elementor. The ideal candidate will have experience in graphic design as well as front-end development (at least HTML and CSS). They should also be confident with WordPress and enthusiastic about Elementor and page builders as the future of efficient page design. Please let me know what you availability looks like in April.
I'm hoping to get it done in 1-2 weeks
