Hey! I'm looking to connect with a growing graphic artist for ongoing design projects to build their portfolio. I'm hoping to hire for one design right off the bat, and another 5-10 designs over the course of the next 1-3 months. So we have to be able to collaborate!
The job is essentially lead graphic designer for a new social networking site and promotional product line. The designs will be used for my logo & website design, as well as for tees, hoodies, and prints. Definitely a collaborative project - the job is as big as you want to make it.
My ideal artist will have a vested interest in mental health efforts and a dark sense of humor. Cannot be opposed to sailor mouths. The efforts will be supporting a trauma recovery network, so expect lots of brains, anatomical and physiological design. I'm drawn to fairly morbid designs with heavy nods to band tees and traditional style tattoos. Must enjoy designing emotive skeletons, alkaline trio-esque pointy objects, and spindly trees. Lots of B&W, some dramatic color, realistic line drawing preferred.
Pay commiserate on experience; hoping to start with a relatively simple logo and move up to more intricate work for apparel/prints.
My first design need is an emotive human skull with a vise grip clamped around his cranium from overhead. I'm hoping for a realistic line drawing, but I'm also a huge fan of the heavy lines of traditional style tattoos. The company name (censored) will require a jagged, heavy font (most in line with punk/metal lettering). This image will be used for initial website branding/logo.
If this might be a lucrative project for your portfolio and my aesthetic ramblings sound like your cup of tea, send me a message or a mock up! Let's see what we can make together.
