A user has the ability to request a list of takeaways within a 550m radius of their current location at any particular time. With permission, the user is shown, driven by Google’s Places API, a list of takeaway names and Google’s icon for it.
Intended audience is university students who require a list of takeaways within their vicinity.
Workable solution on Apple Macbook Air and Pro, Samsung S7 Edge. Also through the latest browser versions for Chrome and Mozilla on stated laptop and mobile devices. Working according to current software versions applicable as of 1st March 2020.
Design and Implementation Constraints
Code to be written in a language which is compatible with major browsers such as Chrome and Mozilla. Discuss which technologies most applicable, efficient and able to be coded within the stated budget. Code should be rewritable and professionally structured without plagiarism.
Formal documentation not required apart from instructions to user on the page for how to work the application and what to expect
No design requirements. Output should display as a list in the format Google’s API shows/gives. It should fit on-screen where the user only scrolls down to see further content. Icons and text visibly comfortable on all devices
Output shown to user within 5000ms in the UK for mobile and desktop devices through leading browsers (Chrome and Mozilla)
No security requirement due to budget. No data storage
Software Quality Attributes
Source code to be given as a deliverable. Site should function 24/7 until 15th March 2020. Code does not need to be maintained due to budget. Code should be available and able to be uploaded/published anywhere in the world.
