Winddows server user reset

Have an issue with our CMS software and need to access to repair. Previous IT provider has passed away and so we need to reset user access and password and solve the CMS issue. This is not a small job and needs someone to think outside the box and be able to navigate through the Microsoft process to find the existing account and reset the details or set up a new account and maybe transfer the CMS across - if that can even be done.
