A gps tracker sends SMS: a string made of coordinates including longitude and latitude, speed, date etc.
to a symbian s60 phone connected to a PC /Laptop with google earth/map installed.
We need a java or similar application which would extract longitude and latitude from the last incoming SMS message and display that location in google maps on the PC pinpointing the exact location sent by GPS tracker.
Purpose of this simple application would be avoiding, manual extraction of lat long coordinates from the sms and typing "maps.google.com" by user and the and then textual typing the longitude and latitude to get visual location on the map.
Application should work on:
1. PC/laptop WITH windows XP.
2. Samsung Galaxy tablet with google map/google earth (android) installed
whichever is easier for the developer
Speed: [url removed, login to view]
Note: I only need plotting the lat, long and speed data, disregard other details.
