As an on-site Business Development Executive, you will identify potential business opportunities from the local and domestic market to expand the pipeline. You will make and pursue annual sales and marketing strategies. You will actively seek out and engage with potential customers to explain our business capabilities and in return understand their requirements. You will bridge gaps with suitable plans and strive to convert business leads into sales. You will also help seamless execution of the projects by continuous coordination with all the stakeholders. Overall, the offered role will provide you with all the opportunities to use/explore your business sales, marketing, communication and management skills at their best.
Developing a deep understanding of the ongoing business and collaborators.
Engaging with the ongoing collaborators to identify new business opportunities.
Marketing current business capabilities to attract new customers - social media marketing, field marketing, attending conferences/meetings, etc.
Identifying new business opportunities and expanding the business pipeline - this will include a detailed survey of new markets (local/domestic), growth areas, current trends, business forecast, competition, etc.
Preparing detailed business case studies and presenting them to the company management - this will include a listing of required resources/infrastructure and ROI calculations.
Pursuing business leads to convert them to sales.
Ensuring fast start of new projects
Coordination with all the project stakeholders, SCM team, Project team, Collaborator team for smooth and successful execution.
Handling customer complaints and ensuring quick corrective actions.
Achieving quarterly and annual targets/budgeted revenues.
Previous experience for a similar role in CRO/CDMO or any pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record in sales and marketing
Basic understanding of marketing principles, strategy, and design.
Creative thinking to spot opportunities to establish rapid growth using latest techniques.
Self-motivated to achieve set goals
Experience in managing RFI/RFP/RFQ and collaborators visits
Ability to troubleshoot problems and keeping commitments/timelines
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to work in a team with a transparent and entrepreneurial culture
The position is full-time and you will be based at our research center in Ahmedabad. You will be qualified chemistry background ideally BSc/MSc in Organic/Medicinal/Industrial Chemistry, Biotechnology or [login to view URL] or Ph.D. with >3 years of relevant industrial experience. The salary will be based upon your qualifications, experience and track record.
