Job Description:
I was hired at SPA Burke Williams as massage therapist, last year. I had 1 year probation period and I was advised to leave after 8 months. Last 3 months, I was between first ones on the Burke Williams "Board" because I had best reviews from clients, received "Award" because I collected the highest amount of members, after 6 months I was recommended that they increase my salary and after 8 months they gave me "Unemployment" booklet and last check. I disagreed to sign up Termination letter, but I left.
I was told that I didn't provide correct eye pillow to client and I had few bad reviews from clients. I was told that I don't have good return rate. My experience is that return rate depends most of the time on other people not only on me. I'm a member of Professional Bodyworkers at the ABMP for 10 years and I never caused any injuries to anybody. I upgraded my knowledge into HHP (Holistic Health Practitioner).
I wasn't accepted at different Burke Williams location because the place where I worked mentioned that I don't qualify for this kind of work and I need more training. The Burke Williams has several franchises in California. It looks like I can't work at any of their franchises.
At the beginning, I was exposed to harassments. That place requires only 500 hours of massage therapists training. I'm Holistic Health Practitioner. Manager walked behind me, following me on the computer screen from her office and asking me why am I in a hall. I didn’t know that client is not in a waiting room. I was insulted if I didn’t check out computer before session and after session twice. They were changing the schedule after the client was already on the massage table and it was always my fault if they did this for purpose. On the top of this, I came to reception area, witnessing how massage manager was telling receptionists that I don't qualify for work after working there for 2 months.
Now, I have a hard time to get a job for my profession although I have 22 years of professional successful experiences. All what I need is referral for my work and it's everything screwed up for my future.
I mailed attached drafted letter. Burke Williams responded by email that they would like to talk with me. I sent email with request to clarify situation in writing. I didn't receive additional mail from them.
