I have a server with 2 hard drives, a 500 GB SATA and a 1000GB SSD.
When I run: #df-h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
devtmpfs 3.8G 0 3.8G 0% /dev
tmpfs 3.8G 20K 3.8G 1% /dev/shm
tmpfs 3.8G 378M 3.5G 10% /run
tmpfs 3.8G 0 3.8G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
/dev/sdb2 457G 455G 2.5G 100% / <---- trying to increase this size
/dev/sdb1 1014M 143M 872M 15% /boot
/dev/sdb3 4.0G 38M 4.0G 1% /tmp
tmpfs 772M 0 772M 0% /run/user/1001
tmpfs 772M 0 772M 0% /run/user/1000
tmpfs 772M 0 772M 0% /run/user/0
I'm trying to learn how to safely increase the size of /dev/sdb2 to approximately twice it's current size.
I've been to told to try this guide, which uses the xfs_growfs command:

But I'm not sure I understand it all, and want to make sure I'm doing it correctly.
For this project, you would tell me exactly which commands to execute on my server (I cannot give server access).
I can provide the output from each command if needed.
