I would like to ping a server/router having just its MAC address and having no idea in which Network around the world it is placed. If it was in my own Network, I could easily use ARP command to get the IP and then do a ping, but the difficulty here is that I don't know the IP: as much as I could provide would be a certain IP range, but it would definitively not be a local Network. Is this so far possible, using any kind of reverse lookup tool?
Thanks for your time on placing a qualified bid,

Dear sir/madam Actually I have more than 9 years experiences and I'm perfect in network , firewall , routing solutions and linux commands also more than 3 years experiences in FTTX installation ond projects.
Hi. The ARP protocol only works with broadcast traffic, so in simple words it only works on a LAN. BUT if you give me the IP range I could try to get the final address.
