Job Description:
We are a web agency in Greece and we maintain openmage / magento websites
We would like to hire a person for remote development by the hour for various tasks including but not limited to
Theme / module customization
Theme / module development
ERP Synchronization
Bug squashing
Frontend Layout Modifications
Responsive Design
Magento upgrades
We use git to track progress so knowledge of how to create a PR and submit code that targets a specific issue is a must.
Because we're based in the EU, you will need to sign a Confidentiality Agreement that will be shared with our clients before you can work on their website due to the GDPR.
We value quality and bug-free code more than speed so you will be required to test your code a lot. We need good communication and ETAs for delivery on tasks that will be honored to maintain trust with our customers.
Our projects are managed in Trello boards or on Github issues.
Your code will be tested and evaluated by us for quality and security.

This is an hourly project, and time tracking is necessary for evaluation of the work done on this project
Based on our past experiences:
1. You need to have your own dev server ready to accept a staging copy of the website.
2. Hours for downloading stuff are not payable as we're not responsible for your connection speed. You should turn off the timer while you wait for downloads.
3. We don't agree to pay for research for basic stuff e.g.:
- how to create a magento module,
- how to change the domain
- how to create a staging site
- how to fetch from git
- how to add a git repo
- how to make commits
- how to do Pull Requests
We agree that research is part of our project but on a higher level, not for basics.
4. If you have something you don't understand in the tasks always consult with us first and don't do what you imagine we want. Just ask first.
5. Leaves / Absences: Please notify us prior to leaving so that we can schedule our work accordingly. We all get sick sometimes but we need to inform that we won't work :)
6. Place accurate bids, we won't bother with people who do placeholder bids as we need to plan for at least 6 months of expenses.
7. If you think a task is hard for you and will take ages to finish, let us know so we can plan accordingly
Certified developers are welcome to bid and will be given higher priority.
