Job Description:
This is a 2D problem (plane strain) of a cylinder cross section with an isotropic elastic core and a piezoelectric layer and an isotropic matrix material. The project is Finite Element simulation of an arc crack along the piezoelectric layer under a far bi-axial loading. (Attached pdf explains the problem)
The arc crack would be modeled similar to this
