REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR THE DESIGN AND CREATION OF A MOBILE APPLICATION FOR MILEAGE EXPENSE CLAIMS

The objective is to request for information for designing and creating a mobile application for submitting mileage expense that is able to populate data and feed into A*STAR’s SAP system automatically.
The proposer is to design and create a mobile application that can be used on both iOS and Android, for estimated of 1,000 users. The mobile application should be able to capture staff local mileage claim details and have the capability to allow the following:
a) Users to set their working hours in the mobile application, and during these hours, automatically track when users begin journey (when vehicle starts) and end the journey (when the vehicles stops) and create a mileage log which consists of distance, date, time, starting destination and ending destination.
b) Users to have the option to choose to start and stop tracking themselves.
c) Users will receive a notification via the mobile application once a trip is completed and an option to mark the trip as official or personal. They can select which mileage log to upload to A*STAR SAP System.
d) The mileage log should be available immediately for viewing on the mobile application once the journey ends.
e) User should have the option to include ERP and/or parking charges in the mileage log.
The proposal should also include the provision of:
a) A script for batch and real-time transmission of the mileage log from the mobile application to A*STAR SAP system. All data must be transmitted via encrypted channel.
b) User Acceptance Test (UAT) sessions, briefing and training sessions and a step-by-step guide on the use of the mobile application.
c) One-time Penetration Test (PT) and Vulnerability Assessment (VA) scan, and annual PT and quarterly VA scan.
d) 1-month support, 7 days a week, after Go Live and subsequent man-day rate for change request.
e) Subscription and enhancement fees, if any.
