3D file viewing and slicing tablet app –
Goal: interact with 3D models in an augmented reality environment on a tablet.Objectives:1-User imports a 3D models (3d object). User can move these models relative to each other within the 3D space. 3D files may be static (still) or dynamic (moving/animated)2-User can view the model via an augmented reality tablet based view3-User can pan/rotate the model in all directions by touching the screen4-User can move the tablet in real space to view the object from different perspectives, while keeping the object fixed in real space5-User can slice through (plane through) the object in any plane by adjusting the position of the tablet relative to the object in 3D space. 6-User can fix the slicing plane in a certain position (i.e. get to a certain view/sliced amount, then fix it so that when one moves the tablet back, the object remains sliced).7-User can manipulate lighting locally/regionally such that they can make a certain aspect of the model brighter. Ideally, user can manipulate the coloring/transparency of the object as well.8-User can share the screen with a desktop to project what they see to another screen.9-User can export a video capture, with audio, like a screen recording, to a video format.
10- User can add labels and measurements. The initial request is to do this with standard STL, OBJ, CAD, FBX, DAE, 3DS, DXF and other common 3D file types. A second request after doing this would be to build a platform for volumetric data (DICOM medical imaging data).This isn't about animation/modeling, but rather about building a 3D unity platform for me to upload and interact w my own models.
