The notion that fat/protein don't make you fat, however carbs do, but the idea that to lose weight one must consume less calories per day than they expend. Meaning if one has 2000cal of protein and 500g of fat but their daily energy expenditure was lower than this, they would still gain weight despite not ingesting carbs, explained.
