We own and operate an e-commerce web site in Australia. The shopping cart software we use is from X-Cart (X-Cart is written in PHP and uses MySQL and Smarty). Those of you familiar with X-Cart will know that X-Cart has the ability to store images in either the database or the file system. Up until now, all our images were kept on the database. Due to sluggish server performance, we decided to transfer all images, including thumbs, to the file system. This is when our problems began. A mod that was created for us several months ago by Webous, was meant to create thumbs on the fly using product images. The mod was also meant to cache both thumbs and images on both the server and browser ends. Everything worked fine up until the switch. Now we have no thumbnails or product images at all. We were informed by Webous that this mod would work regardless of where the images were kept, sadly we have now discovered this not to be the case. We have tried contacting Webous regarding this matter but have not received a reply to date and since the matter is now urgent, we have no alternative than to seek your help. The mod consists of one PHP file approximately 231 lines long (we are guessing that only 40-50 lines of code are actually relevant) and 2 lines of HTML code in one of the image templates. We need an expert PHP programmer who can quickly pinpoint the problem with minimal fuss and make necessary corrections. Please do not bid if you are not a PHP expert. For an expert PHP programmer, this is a 10 min job and easy money. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
