I need a really simple demo that demonstrates how FLEX (2) and Adobe Apollo work together with a backend webservice in .NET .
Basically - the webservice should just have a single function that basically concatinates 2 strings (string a + string b is the return value). A Flex component should be made with a simple UI (2 text boxes and a result text box) along with validation (input must be at least 0 chars and max 10 chars) and a button to call for output.
Once the button is pressed the user should get some sort of 'in progress' notification and once the webservice call is complete the output shoudl be displayed. The situation where the webservice is either not available or throws an exception should also be shown.
All of these tasks together should be deployed in a browser environment and also using apollo to a desktop environment.
We only need a demo as a proof of concept so it doesn't have to look pretty but should be fairly clearly documented.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
