We need a DirectShow filter(s) to add MIDI playback into filter graph. Standard MIDI filters do not allow pitch nor tempo changes, so a set of custom filters needs to be created. Required functionality: - read MIDI files - expose MIDI information (length, playback settings, channel/instrument information) - allow tempo changes - allow pitch changes - allow channel on/off We recommend using freeware MIDI classes for reading and playing MIDI. [url removed, login to view] is attached to this project. The exact implementation is up to the coder. It will probably consist of two filters -- MIDI file reader and MIDI renderer. The important is that the filters could be placed in the filter graph and reacted to seek commands properly. Code needs to be in C++ and compilable under MS VC++ 2005.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
