The exisitng web site [url removed, login to view] needs to be upgraded. The page is meant to store hyperlinks on an internet page. The links are placed in categories and each category can either be visible or collapsed/invisible. This is stored in the SQL database and right now opening a category results in a server round trip. The (sort)order in which the categories are placed is partly dynamically determined. I would like two changes bith involving AJAX: (1) Collapsing the categories does not result in a server ournd trip but is written to the database at the server async. This is not to difficult I guess. (2) The order of the categories can be changed using drag and drop (like the google start page). The order also need to be stored in the database using async server calls (AJAX). I guess that the php file that builds the page needs to be re-coded. This is one php file consisiting of 250 lines including empty ones). I have a seperate test/development environment ([url removed, login to view]) at which I can give you access.
1) A working copy of my web site with both changes described above implemented. Everything needs to be working with Firefox and IE. 2) Code needs to be structured and readable with English comment.
