Simple Flash Website/Application
Goal of website ??" for customers to be able to create custom sports plaques, that will be able to purchase, via our shopping cart that is already created. They will be able to navigate through the website via a user friendly navigation bar. With major sports, then by teams, once they get to teams, then they can select a team, or they can select a individual player from the team. Once they have selected the main focus of the plaque, they will then select the size and configuration of the plaque. Once they have selected the size, they will be able to select color of the plaques from a list of colors. This will set the main parts of the plaque. The last thing they can choose is the color of the accents of the metal plates that go on the plaque, in this area an engraving that is open for 3 lines of text 20 characters long.
What I would like to do is be able to set all these variables, and then make a graphical representation of the plaque, this will be a huge selling point, so the graphical representation must be clean.
In review, to accomplish this you will be probably have to do the following but I am open to your suggestions:
Need to be able to pull from SQL database, to bring teams, and player’s picture so the customer can get to the main focus of their plaque.
Need to be able to take about five hundred images to be converted to flash objects that will be pulled in real time from a SQL database that will be created by us. I am open to suggestions on this.
Develop user friendly navigation to make it easy to get to the players, and team
Be able to search through database for players or teams,
Develop flash application to make representation of plaque, and allow them to update in some way.
Keep track of variables that are added to the plaques, because the last thing we will do is post these to a form POST, so we can add to a shopping cart, this will be done by us as well.
