modify the background on a worpress template

i have a website with wordpress theme

its the "newave" wp theme

the principle is that you have a homepage that united few pages setions so you have a "one page website"

i d like to place the movie you can see on the top of the homepage as homepage fix backgroud .Then the rest of the "one page website" will be with section that are not full wide (so you can still see the movie on both sides) and the background will be transparent 70%

i already took 3 guys to make the work and none succed

so it seems to be not so simple to do
