Yes, the [url removed, login to view] clones are everywhere and this would be for -- in essence -- the typical photo rating script, except users won't be rating graphic images at all, only words. Original song lyrics actually.
The user registers and has five fields on the form to fill out.
-- Song Title
-- Writing Credits
-- The Lyrics
-- Link to hear the song (optional)
-- Link to buy the song (optional)
Unlike a photo rating script those making submissions are likely to make more than one submission. I'd prefer if each registered account can then create as many different lyric entries as they would like (for their own admin and editing purposes) but I'd settle for the user having to create a new account for each lyric entry if necessary (indicate as such in PMB).
What the site visitor sees?
-- Just like the photo rating sites, a random submission appears on the home page with a 1-10 ratings grid. A user can just click on the number and it will move on to another random lyric -- or there is an option to add a short review to go along with the rating.
-- Also on the main page is the option to view Top 10 rated lyrics (after, say 10 ratings) and the 10 Most Recent submissions.
-- A message board forum for all.
The design aspect will be pretty simple as it's all mostly coming from the script. Just a clean design witha simple logo and space for me to run a banner ad on every page.
That's pretty much it. Here are some additional features that would be cool but not required -- but do indicate if you bid price will include any of all of these in PMB. . .
-- Referral script for folks to e-mail a lyric page to a friend.
-- Different fonts and backgrounds (not templates obviously, just font and color options)
-- Lyric categories: There would 8 different types. This would be a 6th entry in the submission form and site visitors would have the option of clicking on a style and only getting those
Thanks for taking the time to read, and hopefully bid, on this project.
