Visual Basic .NET code required for an Inventory Pegging Program. We estimate the project to require 80 hours of programming test.
The program calculates available inventory, open orders and balances the inventory supply against sales demand. The available inventory, open orders, and sales demand are extracted from our manufacturing System. The program creates the data files that are used with and on-line WEB meeting. The outputs from the on-line meeting and data calculations are reports, emails, and formatted data files. The formatted data files are uploaded to the Manufacturing System.
The program has been in production for 4 years with our current MRP System. Currently, we are moving to a new ERP system and the pegging program must be rewritten to interface with the new system. An internal developer developed the program. The original developer will be able for consult.
The file extracts from the new ERP Manufacturing System are complete and the core changes to the pegging program have been developed. The project requires doing the final de-bug, creating and or modifying the On-line Meeting and creating the upload files to the ERP system.
There are two upload files. One is an order message file for reschedules or order message. The other file is a list of "potential" late parts by sales order. These two file formats are complete on the ERP side. Our ERP System is JD Edwards Enterpriseone. The VB program is written in Visual Basic .NET 2003 (VB 7.1) with Microsoft Access as the database. The on-line meeting is a WEB application.
The project will require you to meet with our Inventory Manager and IT group at our facility in Batavia, Ohio.
