We are primary looking for a skilled PHP coder, but he also has to be an allrounder.(MySQL/HTML/CSS/website layout/). Our long term aim is to have someone that we from time to time can send out small (and maybe in the future larger) projects to. It is not a full time job because it can go up to weeks between projects, especaily in the beginning, but we have several potential sites. You must be able to adapt to different CMS, especailly to SocialEngine.
You have to be independent to a certain degree. By that we mean that you have to understand what goes without saying. We especially don't want someone who think short term money by rushing during coding, for instance by skipping coding standards and always tries to speculate in how much he can get on a project. The approach we prefer is someone who bids what he actually think he is worth based on the market price.
The initial "test project" is to implement a scandinavian payment service called (Payex - [url removed, login to view]) so that it works in test mode. They deliver a complete sample code (see attachment), so all the initial project is about is to install it so that I can do test purchases with their dummy credit card info. The script is actually already installed ([url removed, login to view]), but we get a bug (blank page also) that needs to be located and fixed. We will provide access to full documentation to those interested before finally deciding if you will take on this (and future) project.
GENERAL RULES ON OUR PROIJECTS:
* Please don't overbid your market price because it only affects the rest of the bidders resulting in
that we have to do individual negotiations.
* I am not able to chat or talk by phone, only ordinary e-mail. It can also at most take up 1-2 days before I am able to reply, but we seldom have hard deadlines.
* If you at any time during the project need a Milestone, please request so on when you are bidding. No Milestones requests after awarded project is accepted.
* We only use Milestones to tie up payments and never release it before the project is ended.
