We have pretty big traffic to our web server and there is only one website on that server. There is a VB component runs if any user access to this site.
Sometimes IIS can not handle this because of the traffic and it goes down. We are thinking to get new servers to share the traffic and reduce the load balance.
I want to ask the ways of dividing the traffic to multiple servers. This is something like clustering. If one of the server is down then the second one will start to handle the traffic. Or there will be a main server which handles only the HTTP traffic and redirects the requests to other servers accordign to their load balance. I dont know if these can be done so im asking if anyone has ideas.. I will open auction accordingly.
