Overview
i would like a small intranet type site to carter for 20 to 40 people developed in wordpress, and it should be responsive, have 3 columns. custom Themes or premium themes can be used as well as plugins and widgets.
Design, Look and feel
a modern clean look and feel is required
features/functions
1. communication and collaboration tools
- users should have access to private chat instant messenger that works for one on one as well as multiuser chat, for users in the company
- the should be a message/news board that works similar to a forum. users can post announcements and news and others can comment on them
- online email client so users can read their emails
2. Events/meetings Calender with daily notifications/pop ups
3. Human resources & employee directory features
- maintain a record of each employee including when they started working, date of birth, names, id numbers, copy of contract in pdf, duration of contract, picture, title, contact information and contact details of next of kin
- show a searchable list of all employees including contact details and whether they are in the office or on leave
- show each employee how many leave/off days they have available at any time, show
- allow employees to apply for leave/off days
4. information repository
- a file sharing services that allows users to upload files and decide who has access to them and allows downloads
also note:
i need multiple user types eg HR should have access to leave/ off days application requests and no one else, each employee should have access to their own human resources information as well as emails, admin user should be able to add new stuff members etc
and almost everything should have an email notification eg if a new document is added or uploaded and an employee is specifically tagged in it they should recieve a notification
